Custom Domains

Adding a custom domain to your Klutch.sh app allows you to serve your application under a personalized web address, giving it a professional and branded appearance. This documentation will guide you through the process of adding a custom domain to your Klutch.sh app.

Step 1: Access Domain Settings in Klutch.sh

Log in to your Klutch.sh account and navigate to the dashboard. Locate the app to which you want to add the custom domain and access the settings. Look for the option to manage domains or custom domains under the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Add Your Custom Domain

In the domain settings section, you should see an option to add a custom domain. Enter your domain name (e.g., example.com) in the provided field and click on the “Add Domain” or “Save” button to proceed. Klutch.sh will start the validation process to confirm ownership based on the DNS verification record that will be added in the next step.

Step 3: Configure DNS Settings

After adding your custom domain in Klutch.sh, you need to configure the DNS settings for your domain to point to Klutch.sh’s servers. This typically involves adding DNS records, such as A records or CNAME records, that point to Klutch.sh’s IP addresses or domain names. Copy either the CNAME or IP address value (used for A record) and add the DNS record accordingly.

Step 5: Verify Domain Configuration

Once you’ve configured the DNS settings for your custom domain, return to the domain settings in Klutch.sh and verify that the domain configuration is correct. Klutch.sh may provide instructions or guidance on verifying the domain configuration and ensuring that the custom domain is properly set up to route traffic to your app.

Step 6: Test Your Custom Domain

After completing the domain configuration in Klutch.sh and updating the DNS settings for your domain, it’s time to test your custom domain. Open a web browser and navigate to your custom domain (e.g., https://www.example.com) to verify that your application is accessible under the custom domain. If everything is set up correctly, your application should load successfully under the custom domain.
